One Year Into the Blakemore Era, Introhive Bets on Platform Over Point Product

When Introhive announced Lee Blakemore as chief executive in January 2023, the message was about discipline: a leader with three decades of enterprise software experience, brought in to focus the company on customer growth and product R&D after its rapid scale-up years.

Twelve months later, the shape of that focus is visible.

A rebuilt platform

In October, Introhive launched what it billed as a first-of-its-kind connected experience for professional services firms — the law, accounting, and consulting segment where its relationship-intelligence pitch has always landed hardest. The new platform is designed to help firms uncover and strengthen the network of relationships they already collectively hold, rather than simply enriching CRM records.

That's a notable narrowing. The company that once positioned itself broadly across sales organizations is leaning into the vertical where relationships literally are the product being sold.

What Blakemore brings

Blakemore's résumé is heavy on operating through transitions: before Introhive, he served as president of K-12 Community Engagement at Anthology, where he ran the Blackboard K-12 business through to its sale to Finalsite. Earlier stops spanned go-to-market, operations, and international leadership at global enterprise software companies.

For a company that raised a US$100-million Series C in 2021 — still one of the largest rounds in Atlantic Canadian history — the assignment is clear: turn the scale of that era into durable, efficient growth.

Why it matters for New Brunswick

Introhive remains one of the province's flagship software stories, and flagship companies set the tone for everything downstream: hiring, alumni-founded startups, and how outside investors read the region. A focused, well-run Introhive is good news well beyond its own cap table.
