Lastwall's IDCommand Tactical Lands in Defense Unicorns' UDS Proving Ground

Fredericton identity-security firm Lastwall's IDCommand Tactical is featured in Defense Unicorns' vendor showcase for mission-ready access at the tactical edge.

Cut off from the cloud, an operator's identity key goes to a local IDCommand Tactical box, which unlocks mission apps, network and data at the tactical edge, showcased in Defense Unicorns' UDS Proving Ground.

Lastwall's IDCommand Tactical product has been featured in Defense Unicorns' UDS Proving Ground vendor showcase, spotlighting the Fredericton firm's identity, authentication and access capability for warfighters at the tactical edge.

The product

IDCommand Tactical is built for exactly the environments most identity tooling assumes away: contested, disconnected, and intermittent (DDIL) settings where every second and every connection matter. Lastwall frames it in the showcase as "bringing resilient identity, authentication, and access to contested and disconnected environments so organizations can rapidly deploy secure, modern access capabilities at the tactical edge with less integration friction."

The proving ground

Defense Unicorns' UDS Proving Ground lets software vendors securely validate and demonstrate mission-ready capabilities to government customers while keeping source code private and lowering authorization barriers. Being part of that ecosystem puts IDCommand Tactical in front of the same defence buyers Lastwall has been courting since it closed its $16-million round and earned CMMC Level 2 this year.

The buyers

In defence, identity is the control that decides who and what can reach critical systems. The showcase puts a product from the Fredericton cybersecurity cluster in front of US national-security buyers.
