Floresh Launches Class Overview, Putting a Teacher's Whole Class Day in One Place

The Fredericton EdTech company's new Class Overview brings attendance, lessons, grades, medical alerts and announcements onto one screen, with class-specific lesson tweaks that leave the reusable course untouched.

Fredericton's Floresh Education has launched Class Overview, a single place where teachers run their day-to-day classroom work. The company announced it on LinkedIn on Oct. 16, capping a week of posts about how its platform handles reusable courses.

One screen for the teaching day

Class Overview gathers the things a teacher checks all day long:

  • Attendance
  • Lessons and student progress
  • Grades
  • Medical alerts
  • Announcements

Floresh's site adds report cards to that list. The company's pitch is simple: "One place to manage the teaching day, without jumping between different systems."

Reusable courses, tailored classes

The launch ties together the week's theme. In Floresh, teachers build a course once and reuse it, then adjust lessons for an individual class. Those class-specific adjustments now appear right alongside the rest of that class's information in Class Overview, without changing the original reusable course. A teacher with two sections of the same subject can tailor one group's pace without rewriting the master version for everyone.

Built in Fredericton for K-12 schools

Floresh is the father-and-son company of co-founder Matthew Harrington and Roger Harrington, founded in 2023. Its school operations platform covers student information, learning, attendance, admissions, billing and family communication for K-12 schools, priced at C$50 per active student per year with all areas included. The company is focused on private and Canadian schools.

Class Overview is the latest in a steady run of releases. Floresh added event-fee tracking earlier this month, and we profiled the platform in August.
