Floresh Adds Event-Fee Tracking to Its K-12 School Platform

Fredericton EdTech company Floresh has added event-fee tracking to its school platform, letting schools attach fees to calendar events and track lunch and field-trip orders and payments in one place.

A school calendar shows a field-trip fee badge while an amber payment travels from a family phone to the school finance dashboard, with a readout showing Event Fees at 0% platform fee.

Floresh Education has added event-fee tracking to its K-12 platform. Schools can now create fees, attach them to calendar events, and track lunch and field-trip orders and payments in one place, the Fredericton company announced last week.

The feature

The feature ties money to the school calendar instead of keeping it in a separate billing tool. An administrator creates a fee — a field-trip charge, a lunch program — attaches it to an event, and families see and pay it through the same portal they use for tuition, attendance and messaging. On the school side, orders and payments for lunches, field trips and activities land in the same system, replacing the usual pile-up of permission slips, spreadsheets and side tools.

The pricing

Floresh is pitching the feature on price: it charges no platform fee on event-fee transactions, with payments processed through Stripe, per the announcement. The company's public pricing is C$50 per active student per year with a C$2,500 annual minimum, and its site lists a 0% Floresh transaction fee across the platform.

The company

Floresh is a father-son-built company making a connected K-12 platform that folds student records, learning, attendance, billing, events and family communication into one system. We profiled the platform in August. The event-fee addition extends the billing side: families already pay tuition in the portal, and event fees now sit alongside it.

What schools get

For independent schools, the admin overhead around event money is real: paper forms, e-transfers to chase, spreadsheets reconciled by hand. Putting the fee on the event itself — with the order and the payment tracked together — is the kind of unglamorous workflow fix that saves a school office real hours each term.
