Venn Turns Founders Café Into a Grand Prix Night in Moncton
The southeast’s innovation hub packed The Bunker on July 22 with F1 racing sims, a lounge bar, and the usual founder networking — a playful reset for the city’s startup social circuit.

Moncton’s founder social calendar swapped Moroccan tea for lap times.
Venn Innovation hosted Founders Café Grand Prix on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at The Bunker (961 Main Street, Moncton), from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. — a high-energy summer edition of the city’s recurring founder meetup, per the Eventbrite listing. The format put F1 racing simulators on the floor beside a bar-and-lounge setup meant for the real work of these nights: introductions, follow-ups, and the soft deal flow that never shows up in a press release.
What Founders Café is for
Founders Café is Venn’s regular southeastern New Brunswick mixer for people building companies — less demo day, more peer room. Past editions have leaned on guest operators and a familiar host cadence; the Grand Prix edition kept the networking brief and wrapped it in a competitive icebreaker, complete with Eventbrite copy promising a “Tech Drivers’ Champion” lap-time bragging right.
That might sound trivial next to a funding round. It is also how a corridor city keeps second-time founders in the same room as first-timers who still need a warm intro to Atlantic Fintech, a service provider, or someone who shipped payroll software before them. We previously traced Moncton’s role in the southeast corridor; nights like this are the social layer under that programming.
Why cover a party
Because ecosystems fail quietly when the calendar goes empty. Venn’s Grand Prix night is not a product launch and not a capital event. It is evidence the Moncton hub is still convening — in a distinctive Main Street venue, with a format designed to make strangers talk — one week after Saint John and Fredericton each made harder news. Tickets were limited; the Eventbrite page now lists the event as ended.
For founders who skipped it: the next Café will almost certainly look more like coffee than qualifying. The point of July 22 was to remind the southeast that showing up still counts as strategy.
